August 22, 2004 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Atlanta Vision News Release

The ABA Gwinnett Gwizzlies hope to start the season off on an inspirational note by hosting Faith and Family night at it's home opener. Such Gwinnett county mega- churches as Hopewell Missionary Baptist church, pastored by Rev. Sheilds with a membership over 10,000 shall be recognized. Wendy Sims, a local gospel recording artist who was the soloist at Gwizzlies CEO/Owner Embry Malone wedding at Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta will be asked to perform at halftime.

Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
