CEDAR RAPIDS, IA - November 29, 2016 - Another win for the Cedar Rapids Rampage and another weekly honor for "Kid Dynamite" Gordy Gurson. For the third time in five weeks Gurson was named to the Major Arena Soccer League Team of the Week.
Gurson had a goal and two assists in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Milwaukee Wave. The win improved the Rampage to 3-2. Gurson leads the Rampage with 10 points (five goals and five assists).
"Just feels good to be winning so honestly I haven't even looked at the stats this season," said Gurson.
The Rampage hit the road this weekend for games in Syracuse on Friday and Harrisburg on Saturday. The next home game is Saturday, December 10, when the Rampage host the Kansas City Comets.
The Major Arena Soccer League began play in 2008 as the Professional Arena Soccer League. In 2014 teams from the PASL and Major Indoor Soccer League combined to form the MASL. Now in its ninth season, the league represents the highest level of professional indoor soccer in the world, and features 17 teams across North America with teams playing coast-to-coast in the United States and Mexico. Cedar Rapids joins teams in markets such as Milwaukee, Chicago, Kansas City, San Diego, and Dallas.
