Heroes On Ice: The Orlando Seals play three games this week, hosting the Miami Manatees on Thursday at TD Waterhouse Centre at 7:05 p.m.; hosting the Macon Trax, Saturday at 7:35 (preceded by the 6th Guns and Hoses charity game for the benefit of the Special Olympics at 1 p.m.); and then Sunday the Seals visit the Lakeland Loggerheads at 4:05 p.m.
Time Change: Sunday's game at Lakeland has been moved to 4:05 from its original 7:05 start time. Sunday's game will also be broadcast on AM 740 The Team. The game will be joined in progress, early in the first period on AM 740. All Seals games are available on the internet at www.IRN.FM.
Happy Times: The Seals will be at a couple of area events throughout the week. Coach Jim Paek and goaltender Sean Varriale will be on hand at Kerryman's Pub in Longwood, Monday night at 7 p.m. for the Seals Hockey Happy Hour. On Tuesday the Seals will be on hand at the Mardi Gras Celebration at Sam Snead's Metro West, 2461 S. Hiawassee Road at 7 p.m.
Not So Happy Times: The Seals maintain second place in WHA2 in spite of gaining only one point last week. The Seals dropped a wild 7-6 overtime decision to Alabama on Thursday, lost 4-2 at Jacksonville on Saturday and lost 2-1 to Macon at home on Saturday.
Make A Date: On Saturday the first 1,500 fans for the Seals game (not including the Guns and Hose game at 1 p.m.) will receive a Kraft Insurance Seals 14 month (March 2004-April 2005) Calendar.
