Newport Gulls News Release

NEWPORT, R.I. - The Newport Gulls and Basebald of the St. Baldrick's Foundation need your help! We are looking for volunteers to shave their heads in solidarity with kids fighting cancer.

The Gulls and St. Baldricks's are requesting the nomination of your most unkempt friend, family member, or employee - anyone with too much hair! Submitted nominees will be asked to place a "bounty" on their head for the fight against kids' cancer. If said bounty is met by the community, the nominees will join the Newport Gulls on Friday, July 20 at Cardines Field to have their head trimmed for a good cause.

To nominate a participant, send their name, contact information, picture and requested bounty to gullsfightcancer@gmail.com. The nominees will be announced the week of June 24 with instructions on how to submit donations. All donations will go directly to the St. Baldrick's Foundation fight against kids' cancer.

St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives. For more information on the Foundation, visit http://www.stbaldricks.org/events/newport.

The game day event is sponsored by Aquidneck Medical Associates, Inc., a Newport-based medical practice employing doctors committed to caring for the health and welfare of the community.
