Gulledge and Beam Earn Weekly Hardware

DURHAM, NC - The official statistician of the American Association, PA-Sportsticker, has selected Fort Worth Cats C Kelley Gulledge and Pensacola Pelicans LHP Randy Beam as the Teamline Direct Batter and Pitcher of the Week.

Gulledge hit .500 with one home run and six RBI in 16 at-bats this past week. The Arlington, TX resident collected 18 hits, three of which were doubles, scored six runs and had one stolen base. In the 12-11 victory over the Grand Prairie AirHogs this past Saturday, Gulledge went 2-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored and a RBI. On the season, the 30-year-old is hitting .287 with seven home runs and 30 runs driven in.

Beam threw a complete game shutout in the 5-0 win over the El Paso Diablos on Saturday. The southpaw gave up only one hit and two walks while striking out 10 batters. Beam has a 5-5 mark on the season with an earned run average of 4.50.
