Guelph, ON - The Guelph Nighthawks 2022 regular season schedule was unveiled on Thursday as part of the Canadian Elite Basketball League's 2022 season announcement. The schedule will see the Guelph Nighthawks tip-off its fourth season at the Sleeman Centre on May 26, 2022 against the expansion Scarborough Shooting Stars. Coinciding with the schedule announcement, the Guelph Nighthawks launched a pre-sale for season ticket memberships providing fans with early access to the best available seats for the 2022 season. Registration for the pre-sale can found at: https://nighthawksticketing.txtify.io/.

The Canadian Elite Basketball League will be returning to its traditional 20-game schedule in 2022 with three new teams joining the league. The addition of the Montreal Alliance, Scarborough Shooting Stars and the Newfoundland Growlers officially makes the ten-team CEBL Canada's largest domestic professional sports league. For the first time since August of 2019 the Guelph Nighthawks will be permitted to host a full capacity of fans inside the Sleeman Centre.

The 2022 schedule will ensure that Nighthawks fans will be able to see all nine teams at the Sleeman Centre this upcoming season. Guelph will host the Montreal Alliance twice on June 11th and July 13th, while the Newfoundland Growlers will make their lone trip to the Sleeman Centre on June 14th. Other schedule highlights include the Nighthawks first Father's Day home game on June 19th, an afternoon tip-off against the rival Hamilton Honey Badgers. Guelph will also take on the reigning CEBL Champion Edmonton Stingers at the Edmonton Expo Centre on July 23rd.

All-in-all the Nighthawks will play 20 games over 64 days, travelling over 15,000 kms, as the club starts its quest for the 2022 CEBL Championship Trophy. The regular season will lead into the CEBL playoffs, which will ultimately determine the top four teams to qualify for Championship Weekend in Ottawa from August 12-14.

Nighthawks season tickets will go on public sale February 10th, however an exclusive pre-sale has been made available for those that wish to get to the front of the pack and secure the best seats in the Sleeman Centre. By signing up for the pre-sale through the following link fans will be automatically entered to win a $250.00 credit towards their 2022 season ticket purchase. Quotes

"On May 26th the Guelph Nighthawks will return to the Sleeman Centre, and for the first time since August of 2019 we'll be able to do so with a full capacity of fans. The season schedule release date is always an exciting day, as it means we're marching closer to the start of a new CEBL season. But this year feels different, as we announce our schedule with the certainty that in 2022 we'll be able to play in front of a full house, without capacity restrictions. In 2021 we closed our regular season with an epic Elam Ending win against Ottawa. Now we can build off that energy and excitement as we make our run for Championship Weekend in 2022, with our entire fan base to rejoice in the return of professional basketball in 2022."

- Cameron Kusch, President, Guelph Nighthawks Professional Basketball Club
