Guaranteed Wins, Pool Rafts, Footballs - Blitz Ready for the Summer

Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Blitz head out on the road this weekend to battle against Bossier- Shreveport, but will return for a pair of home games in May. By the end of the month, the Blitz will have hosted over half of the home games on their 2005 af2 home schedule.
On Friday the 13th of May, the Blitz pull out Guaranteed Win Night against the first-place Tulsa Talons. If the Blitz don't win that game, everyone in attendance will get a free ticket to their next home game the following weekend. The giveaway will continue until the Blitz do pick up a victory, so fans that come to the Tulsa game are guaranteed to see a win. Also that night, the first 2,000 fans will get a free Blitz Dashboard Memo Pad, courtesy of KGEO "Hot Talk" AM 1230. Get the memo pad, put it on your dashboard, and when you're cruising around hearing Blitz radio ads, you'll be able to jot down how many tickets you need.
The following week, the arch-nemesis San Diego Riptide come to town in a meeting of old West Division rivals. Bakersfield has beaten San Diego all five times the teams have met since the Blitz reincarnated to start the 2004 season. That game features the return of the Foam Football Fling, which debuted last season. Fans are asked to bring a foam, Nerf-style ball to the game and when the Blitz score their first touchdown of the night, throw them on the field. They will be collected and donated to the Bakersfield Police Activities League. In addition, the first 2,000 children 12 and under will get a Blitz Foam Helmet, sponsored by KGET-TV 17 and 98.5 The FOX. The helmets are perfect for you kids when they turn your living room into their own personal gridiron.
The Blitz will host three more regular season games, including June 10th against the Arkansas Twisters for Autograph Book Giveaway. On June 24th, Central Valley comes back to town for Pool Raft Giveaway and on July 15th, full-size Blitz Footballs will be given out when Bossier-Shreveport comes to Bakersfield. Stay tuned for details about a World Record-setting event for that night as well (something about a bed of nails and a sledgehammer). The complete remaining promotional schedule is listed below.
