Grizzlies Annual Holiday Sale To Be Held December 10th

The Gateway Grizzlies are ringing in the holiday season with the return of a holiday tradition! For the seventh consecutive year, the Grizzlies will hold their annual holiday sale in Izzy's Den, the Grizzlies team store inside GCS Ballpark!
Grizzlies Fest '08 will begin at 8:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 10 with great deals on Grizzlies merchandise plus the release of the 2009 10-game mini-plans. The store will remain open until 6:00 p.m. for fans and holiday shoppers with blowout prices ranging from 10-50% off. Great deals will be available for new mini-plan purchases also.
The Grizzlies are once again teaming up with the Cahokia Community Basket and will accept donations of new unwrapped toys and canned food goods.
From 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Santa Claus and Izzy the Grizzlie will be on hand for picture opportunities. Grizzlies Manager Phil Warren along with Grizzlies players will also be signing autographs during that time, plus fans will enjoy free cookies and cocoa.
Attendees will also have the opportunity for a sneak peak at the Grizzlies new indoor hitting and pitching facility, Grizzlies Baseball Academy, located behind the U.S. Cellular Kid's Zone from 10 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Along with introducing Grizzlies Baseball Academy, attendees will also be able to sample the Grizzlies newest food item for the 2009 season. The sampling will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
"This has become a great tradition for us," Grizzlies General Manager Steve Gomric said. "We've changed things a little this year, but it will still be a fun day."
The Grizzlies open their 2009 season Friday, May 22nd, when they host the River City Rascals at 7:05 p.m.
Season tickets, mini-plans, and group sales are currently on sale, and can be purchased by visiting GCS Ballpark, or calling the Grizzlies office at (618) 337-3000.
