Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC News Release

PITTSBURGH - Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC defender Joe Greenspan and midfielder Kenardo Forbes have been awarded USL All-League honors, named First Team and Second Team, respectively.

En route to his All-League First Team accolades, Greenspan helped anchor a defensive unit that set a team record 17 clean sheets this season. The United States Naval Academy product played during 12 of these shutouts, in addition to earning two Team of the Week distinctions.

Greenspan also led the squad with 162 clearances (a single-season team record) and finished third on the club with 57 interceptions. On the offensive end, he posted three goals and six points, which both led all Pittsburgh defenders.

On the other hand, Forbes notched All-League Second Team honors behind a season that he set career highs in goals (four), assists (eight) and points (16). Pacing the Hounds in assists, the midfielder also tied for the team lead with 33 appearances.

As the Kingston, Jamaica native tied for the most chances created (56) on the Hounds, he was twice named USL Team of the Week for the 2018 campaign. This is the second time in his career that Forbes has been tabbed USL All-League Second Team (2016).
