Greeneville tied up the series, on September 7, with a 10-8 win over Princeton at Hunnicutt Field. Princeton scored three runs in the first inning, one in the third, two in the fifth, and two in the sixth. The Astros scored two runs in the fourth, one in the fifth, four in the seventh, and three in the ninth inning. Samil De Los Santos gets the win for the Astros. Ty Jackson, for the Rays, takes the loss.
The Rays put three runs on the board in the first inning. Zac Law scored on a throwing error. Kewby Meyer doubled to bring David Rodriguez and Brett Sullivan home. In the third, Rodriguez hit a home run. Greeneville scored two runs in the fourth, as Kyle Tucker hit a home run and Conner Goedert followed him with another homer. Greeneville's Rodrigo Ayarza scored as Myles Straw singled in the fifth. Princeton scored two runs in the fifth. Law and Rodriguez made it home from a double by Jose Rojas. In the sixth, Princeton's Jon Popadics scored from a wild pitch. Pete Maris made it home as David Rodriguez hit a single. In the seventh, Greeneville came within one run from a grand slam by Ayarza, which brought Christian Correa, Brauly Mejia, and Arturo Michelena home. The Astros sealed the victory with three runs in the ninth. Randy Cesar singled and Ayarza, Kyle Tucker, and Goedert scored.
The last game of the Championship Series will be held at Hunnicutt Field at 7 on Tuesday, September 8.
