
Green, Murdock Named Players of Week

Boise, Idaho (Dec. 9, 2002)â The Continental Basketball Association announced today that Idaho Stampede guard Brian Green was named National Conference Player of the Week while Grand Rapids Hoops guard Eric Murdock earned American Conference honors, for the period of Dec. 1-7.
In his third CBA season, Green is leading the Stampede with 21.0 ppg. Behind his 21.3 ppg and 8.0 rpg last week, Idaho won two of three games, including a 98-93 victory over the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Dec.3, in which Green posted game highs in points (27) and steals (4).
Murdock, a nine-year NBA veteran, is leading the league with 8.1 apg in his first CBA season. Last week he tallied 23.3 ppg, 4.7 rpg, and 9.0 apg in leading the Hoops to a 2-1 record. On Dec. 6, the Providence ('91) product scored 26 points, dished out 12 assists, and made 4 steals in a 107-92 win over the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
Other players receiving consideration for National Conference honors were Dakota's Miles Simon (27.0 ppg, 4.0 apg), Sioux Falls' Corsley Edwards (28.0 ppg, 16.0 rpg), and Yakima's Rosell Ellis (15.0 ppg, 13.0 rpg). The three other players receiving consideration in the American Conference were Rockford's David Harrison (31.7 ppg, 4.3 spg), Gary's Oliver Miller (21.7 ppg, 16.7 rpg), and Great Lakes' Desmond Ferguson (20.0 ppg, 4.3 rpg).
