Boise, ID (February 28, 2005) — Great Lakes Storm guard Jermaine Jackson has signed with the NBA's New York Knicks, it was announced today by the Continental Basketball Association League Office and Knicks President of Basketball Operations Isiah Thomas. The signing marks the eleventh CBA-to-NBA call-up of the 2004-05 season, the fourth call-up of Jackson's career, and the second for the Great Lakes Storm (Jackie Butler – February 27, 2005) this season.

Jackson averaged 20.3 points and 11.7 assists per contest in 15 games played (14 started) for the Storm. He also added 5.7 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game, while shooting 53.7 percent (101 of 188) from the floor, 82.2 percent (83 of 101) from the free-throw line, and 47.5 percent (19 of 40) from behind the three-point line.

Since signing with the Storm on January 11, the 6-foot-7, 204-pound guard earned three Eastern Conference Player of the Week awards during a seven week span.

Jackson returns to the NBA where he holds career averages of 2.2 points and 1.6 assists in 84 games played over three seasons with the Detroit Pistons, Toronto Raptors, and Atlanta Hawks. He earned his first CBA-to-NBA call-up during the 2001-02 season when he was signed by Toronto on January 10, 2002. He received two call-ups during the 2003-04 season when he again signed with Toronto on November 20, 2002, and later with Atlanta on January 30, 2003.

Jackson will be filling a roster spot left open when the Knicks placed center Jackie Butler on the Injured List with right patella tendonitis. Butler was the tenth CBA-to-NBA call-up of the 2004-05 season when he signed with the Knicks on February 27.
