Grannan Named USHL Goaltender of the Week

Sioux Falls, SD - The United States Hockey League (USHL) announced Tuesday that Stampede netminder Noah Grannan has been named Goaltender of the Week. It marks the second time in his career that Grannan has taken home the award and the first time this season a Stampede player has earned the honor.

The Germantown, Wis. native earned the award after stopping all 25 shots faced in a 2-0 shutout victory over Sioux City last Saturday night, his second career shutout. Grannan made ten saves in the first period, six in the second and closed out the game with nine big saves in the final frame to help guide the Herd to their third straight victory.

Grannan, has appeared in five games this season, going 2-2-0 with a 3.07 Goals-Against-Average (GAA) and a .889 save percentage. He has allowed two or fewer goals in three of those five games.

The University of Wisconsin recruit won eight games last season with the Stampede. Prior to joining the Herd, Grannan went 6-3-0 with the U.S. National Team Development Program in 2019-20, posting a 2.72 GAA and a .869 save percentage.

Grannan and the Stampede return to action this weekend when they travel to Waterloo to face the Black Hawks on Friday and Saturday night. Sioux Falls returns to home ice next Saturday, December 11th to face the Tri-City Storm on "Dash for Cash" night.
