Utah Blaze News Release

SALT LAKE CITY - Utah Blaze QB Tommy Grady has been named the Arena Football League's Russell Athletic Offensive Player of Week Nine for an outstanding effort in an 84-63 victory over the Spokane Shock. The honor marks Grady's third weekly award of the season.

Against the Shock, Grady (6-7, 245, Utah) became just the fifth player in AFL history to throw 11 touchdown passes in a single game, matching the all-time League record held by Clint Dolezel and Aaron Garcia. He finished the night with 258 yards through the air while completing 65 percent of his attempts. Under Grady's guidance, Utah put a franchise-record 84 points on the board.

Over the past four weeks, Grady has thrown 37 touchdown passes while leading the Blaze to four-straight wins. He's currently the League leader in total offensive touchdowns (67) and passing touchdowns (62). Grady has completed 221-of-333 passes (66.4%) for 2,456 yards and 62 touchdowns, adding 55 yards and five more scores on 21 carries.
