
Goldeyes Make Trade

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Goldeyes traded right-handed pitcher Josh Lucas to the Cleburne Railroaders in exchange for cash considerations on Friday.
Lucas was 1-2 with a 5.83 ERA in eight starts for the Goldeyes this season. The Lakeland, Florida native struck out 34 batters in 41.2 innings. Lucas was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 21st round in 2010, and reached the Major Leagues three consecutive years from 2017-19 with the Cardinals, Oakland Athletics, and Baltimore Orioles.
The Goldeyes' active roster currently stands at 23 players. American Association clubs may carry up to 25 players on the active roster throughout the regular season.
The Winnipeg Goldeyes play a double header against the Lincoln Saltdogs on Saturday. Game one is scheduled to begin at 5:05 p.m.
The Winnipeg Goldeyes return home on Tuesday, June 28th when they host the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks at Shaw Park.
