Golden State Warriors Assign Bazemore and Thomas to NBA D-League Affiliate Santa Cruz Warriors

NEW YORK, March 12, 2013 - The Golden State Warriors today assigned Kent Bazemore and Malcolm Thomas to the Santa Cruz Warriors, Golden State's NBA Development League affiliate. The assignments are the record 150th and 151st of the 2012-13 NBA and NBA D-League seasons. This is the fifth assignment of the season for Bazemore, and Thomas becomes the 56th player to be assigned to the NBA D-League this season.

Bazemore (6-5, 201, Old Dominion) has appeared in 45 games for Golden State this season, averaging 1.8 points and 4.4 minutes. In his previous assignments this year, he averaged 23.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 34 minutes, leading Santa Cruz to victories in all four of his games.

Thomas (6-9, 225, San Diego State) has appeared in two games for Golden State this season, totaling one point in nine minutes. On March 8, Thomas signed a 10-day contract with Golden State. He has played in 26 NBA D-League games, averaging 13.5 points, 9.4 rebounds and 32.5 minutes.

Bazemore and Thomas are expected to be in Santa Cruz today and available to play when the team hosts the Reno Bighorns at Kaiser Permanente Arena in Santa Cruz at 10 p.m. ET.
