
Bighorns Rally Falls Short in Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz, CA., March 12, 2013 - The Reno Bighorns' (13-26) comeback fell short against the Santa Cruz Warriors (26-13) as Reno lost 110-103 Tuesday night in Santa Cruz.
Reno trailed much of the game, and were down by as many as 14 at one point. The Bighorns rallied in the fourth quarter, taking a one-point lead with 5:40 remaining. The 'Horns were not able to hold on to the lead though, and dropped their eighth-straight game.
Dar Tucker and Samardo Samuels each scored 29 points to lead Reno. Tucker grabbed 10 rebounds and Samuels pulled in 12. Desmon Farmer was the only other player to score in double digits for Reno. He had 12 points.
The Warriors were paced by Hilton Armstrong's 30 points. Golden State Warriors' assignee Kent Bazemore added 16 points.
Santa Cruz shot 54.5% from the field, going 42-77. The Bighorns shot just 39.3% from the floor on 35-89 shooting.
The Bighorns face Bakersfield this Friday and Saturday. The Bighorns return home on Thursday, March 21 to take on the Los Angeles D-Fenders.
