Victoria Seals News Release
Victoria, BC - The Victoria Seals are proud to support the 2010 Golden Baseball League Championship Series, beginning tonight in Chico, California. The best-of-five series features the North Division Champion Chico Outlaws up against the South Division Champion Na Koa Ikaika Maui.
The Outlaws will play host to Maui in games one and two of the Championship Final between the two first-half titlists starting tonight. Chico welcomes Na Koa Ikaika for a 7:05 p.m. (PT) first pitch at Nettleton Stadium this evening ahead of game two, slated for Wednesday night. The series shifts back to Iron Maehara Stadium in Wailuku game three on Friday at 9:35 p.m. (PT), with games four and five also set for the island of Maui on Saturday and Sunday (if necessary).
Chico and Maui met just once in the regular season, with Na Koa Ikaika taking two of three against the Outlaws at Nettleton Stadium in late August. With a GBL Championship banner from 2007, the Outlaws will be gunning for their second league title in the franchise's six-year history, while Maui is hoping to capture a championship in their inaugural campaign.
Fans can tune into the Outlaws video webcast with Dan Hawkins at http://www.justin.tv/chicooutlawsbaseball, or catch the Na Koa Ikaika audio broadcast, with Bill Schindler behind the microphone, online at www.nakoaikaikamaui.com.
