
Goldberg Named Offensive Player of the Week

Philadelphia, PA (July 10, 2007) - The 2006 Major League Lacrosse Champions, the Philadelphia Barrage, announced today that attackman Seth Goldberg received the MLL's Offensive Player of the Week award for the week ending on July 8. He recorded five points in a 14-9 win over the San Francisco Dragons on Sunday, scoring four goals and notching one assist. He also earned Bud Light Game MVP honors for leading the Barrage in goals for the game.
The Barrage claimed Goldberg from the Rochester Rattlers during the week of June 3 after he was placed on waivers. He has been a vital part of the Barrage offense in his five games with the team, scoring 12 goals and adding one assist so far this season. This is his first MLL weekly honor of the year.
The Barrage will go on the road for two games starting Thursday, July 12, at the New Jersey Pride and on Saturday, July 21, against the Denver Outlaws. Philadelphia returns home for a Thursday night showdown against the Pride at Yurcak Field at Rutgers University.
