Gladiators to hold open tryout October 21

Las Vegas, NV, September 21, 2006 - The Las Vegas Gladiators are looking for the next undiscovered superstar. The Arena Football League team will host an open tryout on October 21st at Sam Boyd Stadium in an effort to bolster their roster for the team's upcoming 5th Anniversary Season.
The tryout will begin at 10 a.m. p.t. on the turf at Sam Boyd Stadium. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. Cost of the tryout is $50 and the registration form will be avaialble at www.lvgladiators.com, or can be filled out by prospective players on Oct. 21.
The Gladiators are looking for players at all positions and each athlete will be required to participate in offensive and defensive drills. Players will complete at one of the following positions: QB, WR, DB, OL, DL, ,FB or LB.
Gladiators' Head Coach Danton Barto and his coaching staff will be on hand to evaluate all players at the tryout camp.
All participants will be required to sign a waiver and pay a $50.00 cash only registration fee. Players should dress in workout gear and have the appropriate shoes. Pads will NOT be worn. Players should arrive one hour early to register.
The workout will consist of running the 40-yard dash, 20-yard short shuttle, Broad Jump and L-Agility test. Players will then go through position drills and one-on-one drills, both offensively and defensively.

The Gladiators can bring 37 players to training camp for the 2007 season and are looking heavily to open tryouts to fill key roster spaces.
