Gladiators Sign Two Players Including ABA Veteran

Aliso Viejo, CA (September 20, 2007) - The Orange County Gladiators of the ABA (American Basketball Association) today announced the signing of Saul Lankster (23), a 6'6" small forward/shooting guard from CS Dominguez Hills and Phil Givens (21), a 6'2" shooting guard who played last year for the Tijuana Dragons of the ABA where he averaged 25.8 points and 6.2 rebounds per contest.

"Phil played great last year for the Dragons and I am glad I was able to help get him to come to our organization", states ex-NBAer Tony Farmer, Gladiator player and assistant coach. "I think the fans will really enjoy his skills and high flying game come this November".

Head Coach Marc Joffe on Lankster, "Saul has been someone I have known since my recruiting days and he has the ability to be a special player for us. Not only is he a skilled basketball player, but he is also a great young man that the fans in Orange County will really grow to like."

The OC Gladiators plan to announce more signings coming off of their tryout camp conducted on September 15th at Concordia College. Also look for other organizational announcements with the beginning of the season only 2 months away.
