Gladiators Open Training Camp March 15

CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Gladiators are pleased to announce that training camp for the 2010 Arena Football League season is set to open on Monday, March 15 at the team's practice facility - MultiPlex Events & Sports Center in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. The Gladiators season opener is Saturday, April 3 versus the Arizona Rattlers at Quicken Loans Arena.
In addition to the start of training camp, the team is also pleased to announce that on Thursday, March 25, fans are invited to an Open House at The Q. The Open House is FREE TO THE PUBLIC and doors open at 6:00 pm. Fans will be treated to an intrasquad scrimmage, season ticket Select-A-Seat, performances by the Goddesses and Kickoff Crew, as well as the normal postgame autograph session on the field.
Training camp will begin on Monday, March 15 and continue until Friday, March 26. The two-week schedule features 13 practice sessions and one intrasquad scrimmage, all subject to change. The MultiPlex Events & Sports Center is located at 18909 S. Miles Rd, Warrensville Heights, Ohio, at the same location as The WORD Church.
"We've been waiting a long time for this day," Gladiators head coach STEVE THONN said. "Not playing in 2009 was tough for all of us, but now we can get back to what we know and love. Our players are excited, the staff is excited and we hope the city of Cleveland and the greatest football fans are excited too."
Coach Thonn's roster is comprised of AFL veterans, arenafootball2 standouts as well as a mix of rookies. Highlighting the roster are key free agent acquisitions QB JOHN DUTTON and WR BEN NELSON. Both players spent the 2008 season with the Colorado Crush and both have won ArenaBowl championships during their career.
