Gladiators fall to the Crush 63-53

The Las Vegas Gladiators (1-7) led 33-24 at the half, but were outscored 26-0 in the third quarter to seal the deal in their 63-53 loss to the Crush (5-3).

The Las Vegas Gladiators came out strong maintaining a consistent lead throughout the first half, but three devastating turnovers in the third quarter left the Gladiators unable to recover.

QB Brian Jones finished the game with 331 yards, 6 touchdowns, a fumble and three interceptions. WR Etu Molden led the team in touchdown receptions with three and 112 yards on the night. WR Thabiti Davis, not far behind caught 10 passes for 105 yards and one touchdown. WR Joe Douglass and Sidney Haugabrook added one touchdown reception each.

It was the Colorado Crush's defense that ended the game for the Gladiators in the second half with four interceptions, a fumble and a fourth down turnover to close out game.

Crushes QB John Dutton threw for 185 yards with six touchdown passes. WR Damian Harrell had nine receptions for 91 yards and four scores. Again it was the consistent pressure on QB Brian Jones by the Crush defense that sealed the game. DB Rashad Floyd had two interceptions on the night and one with a touchdown return.

The Gladiators made a fourth quarter run, coming within three points, but with only 48 seconds left QB Brian Jones threw his fourth interception to end the game in a 10 point deficit.

The Las Vegas Gladiators host the Orlando Predators next week Sunday, April 29th at 3pm at the Orleans Arena.
