CLEVELAND - The Cleveland Gladiators suffered a 68-52 loss to the Dallas Desperados, in front of 11,717 fans on Saturday night at Quicken Loans Arena. The Gladiators (7-6) have now lost two straight while the Desperados (11-2) improve to 6-1 on the road.

On his second pass attempt of the game, Raymond Philyaw connected with Robert Redd for an 11-yard strike, becoming just the 10th player all-time to complete 2,000 passes in their career.

Philyaw finished 24-of-35 for 291 yards and four touchdowns in the loss. His favorite target Otis Amey, who garnered Offensive Player of the Game honors for the fifth time this year. Amey caught nine passes for a game-high 132 yards and four touchdowns. Redd also cracked the 100-yard mark, hauling in 10 passes for 127 yards.

Marlion Jackson totaled three rushing touchdowns, bringing his season total to 22. The Arena Football League's leading rusher carried the ball six times for 12 yards.

Clint Dolezel completed 28-of-38 passes for 252 yards and eight touchdowns. Will Pettis, named Ironman of the Game, caught 13 passes for 118 yards and four touchdowns on offense, and collared 6.0 tackles on defense. Marcus Nash caught two touchdowns, while Anthony Armstrong added three in the win for Dallas.

The Gladiators return to action on Saturday, June 7 versus the Chicago Rush. Fans will be treated to Buck Night - with $1 Hot Dogs and $1 Soft Drinks. The Gladiators then close out the regular season with a June 21 matchup with the in-state rival Columbus Destoryers. The first 10,000 fans will receive a Bernie Kosar bobblehead.
