Gladiators Drop Fourth Straight As Brigade Top Gladiators 65-31

April 8, 2007- The Las Vegas Gladiators lost their third straight home game 65-31 to the Kansas City Brigade at the Orleans Arena Sunday. The Gladiators were unable to establish any sort of offensive flow in the game went down early and were not able to recover.

The Gladiators went down by as many as 31 points in the first half, but cut the lead to 24 to end the half.

The Brigade were led by QB Raymond Philyaw who finished the game with six touchdowns and 292 yards passing, earning him Offensive Player of the Game. WR Charles Frederick was nearly unstoppable leading the receivers in both yards and touchdown receptions, he finished the night with nine catches for 142 yards and three touchdowns.

Gladiators QB Shaun King finished the game with three touchdowns on 253 yards passing and two interceptions. King had his sights set on WR Terrance Quattlebaum who recently joined the Gladiators roster and ended the game with 11 receptions for 119 yards and all three King TDs. On defense the Gladiators were led by DB Scott Cunningham with 7.5 tackles.

Missed opportunities and mistakes proved deadly in the 34 point loss to the Brigade. The Gladiators ended the game with three lost fumbles, two interceptions and numerous dropped passes which gave the Brigade control.

The Gladiators go on the road next week as they take on the Georgia Force next Sunday, April 15th at 12:30 PST. The game will be televised on FOX Sports Net and Jerseys Bar and Grill will host a Gladiators viewing party.
