
Gladiators Defeat Mustangs on NFL Network, 69-48

Milwaukee, WI -The Cleveland Gladiators defeated the Milwaukee Mustangs 69-48 in front of 5,743 at the Bradley Center on Friday night. With the win, the Gladiators improve to 5-3 while the Mustangs slip to 3-5.
Cleveland's top-rated scoring defense was the story of the night, intercepting Mustangs quarterback Gino Guidugli twice, recovering two fumbles and recording two defensive touchdowns.
Joe Phinisee notched his second return touchdown in as many games, with a 38-yard fumble recovery for a score in the second quarter. Levy Brown and Dustin Bell each added an interception.
Jeramie Richardson made an impact on both sides of the ball, rushing for three touchdowns, and recovering a blocked field goal attempt for a score.
Offensively, John Dutton completed 20-of-31 passes for 250 yards and five touchdowns. He was intercepted once. Dominick Goodman led the Gladiators with nine catches for 123 yards and a touchdown. Robert Redd, Thyron Lewis and Derik Steiner each added receiving touchdowns in the win.
For the Mustangs, Guidugli finished 22-of-37 for 270 yards and four touchdowns. Andrae Thurman hauled in 12 catches for 154 yards and three touchdowns. He also returned a kickoff for a score.
The Gladiators return to The Q on Saturday, May 19 versus the Tampa Bay Storm. Kickoff is set for 7:30 pm.
