
Gibson's Finest CFL Players of the Week Named

Toronto, ON - (November 3, 2009) - DeAndra' Cobb, Otis Floyd, Larry Taylor and Dave Stala were named the Gibson's Finest CFL Players of the Week for week 18, the Canadian Football League announced today.
The four players were chosen by a panel of judges that includes former Canadian Football League players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde, now of TSN, and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.

RB - DeAndra' Cobb - Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Highlights / Key Stats:
Tiger-Cats first-year running back DeAndra' Cobb racked up 159 yards on 25 carries and a touchdown in the Ticats' victory at home against the Roughriders on Saturday.
Cobb's touchdown came on a 23-yard rush in the second quarter to put the Ticats up 18-0.
Cobb also surpassed the 1,000 yard rushing mark in the game, becoming the seventh running back to do so this season. He now has 1,140 rushing yards in his first CFL season.
This is the third time Cobb has won the Gibson's Finest CFL Offensive Player of the Week honour this season (week two, week five).

LB - Otis Floyd - Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Highlights / Key Stats:
Linebacker Otis Floyd led the way for a dominating Ticats defence that caused four turnovers and recorded six sacks against the Roughriders en route to a 24-6 Hamilton victory. Floyd had four tackles including two sacks in the win.
Floyd has racked up 61 tackles and five sacks for the Ticats this season.

KR - Larry Taylor - Montreal Alouettes
Winnipeg Blue Bombers 13 @ Montreal Alouettes 48
Highlights / Key Stats:
Alouettes return man Larry Taylor ran back a missed field goal 115 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to help Montreal beat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 48-13 on Sunday.
Taylor set the Alouettes up with excellent field position all game thanks to his 73 punt return yards and 147 kick return yards. His third quarter touchdown was his third this season.
Taylor was also named the Gibson's Finest Special Teams Player of the Week in weeks two and eight.

WR - Dave Stala - Hamilton Tiger-Cats

Highlights / Key Stats:
St. Mary's product Dave Stala led the Ticats with nine receptions for 126 yards in the Ticats' victory over the Roughriders this week. Stala has been excellent all season for the Ticats and now has 62 receptions for 708 yards and two touchdowns in his first season with the club.
This is the second time Stala has been named the Gibson's Finest Canadian Player of the Week this season. He also won the honour in week 10.
