
Giant Food Stores Putting Contest Benefiting CMN

Philadelphia, PA, January 28, 2005 â The Philadelphia KiXX are hosting the Giant Food Stores celebrity putting contest, benefiting Children's Miracle Network at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, at halftime of the club's contest versus the St. Louis Steamers on Saturday, January 29. Game-time at the Wachovia Spectrum is scheduled for 7:05 pm ET.
Each celebrity will be partnered with a "Miracle Child" or another celebrity and each team will putt a soccer ball down the field to score. Giant Food Stores will make a donation in the name of the winning team. In addition, the organization will present The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with a check for over $350,000, representing funds they raised last year through their annual golf tournament and paper "Miracle Balloons" and "Miracle Candles" sales.
