Mississippi RiverKings News Release

SOUTHAVEN, MS --- The RiverKings With A Cause charity club is hosting its annual "Kings of the Alley" bowling event on Sunday, January 24 at FunQuest Bowling Alley in Collierville from 2-5 p.m.

Fans can enjoy three hours of bowling fun with their favorite RiverKings player and four friends. Shoe rental is included. To bid on a player, folks can stop by the RiverKings With A Cause club table behind section 118 on the concourse.

"This is a really fun event for kids and families, too," Kings of the Alley event coordinator Niki Miller said. "There are fun raffles, food, nice merchandise and the guys are such good sports. It's a guaranteed good time every year."

RiverKings With A Cause (R.K.W.A.C.) is a fan-run, team-supervised charity club. It gives fans an opportunity to do volunteer work, supports the team's charitable initiatives, and invites the players to participate in community efforts.

All proceeds benefit R.K.W.A.C. chosen charities and beneficiaries, of which there are four for the 2009-10 season: Assists for Autism, Hockey for Humanity (Memphis Habitat for Humanity), Ronald McDonald House, and local breast cancer survivors and support.

Bidding ends two minutes before the end of second intermission of the RiverKings game with the Missouri Mavericks, on Friday, January 22nd, at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven. RiverKings players are subject to change due to roster changes.

For more information, stop by the RiverKings With A Cause Club table behind section 118 during a RiverKings game, or call Miller at 901-61-.7868.
