Georgia Swarm Face Buffalo Bandits on Road

DULUTH, GA. - The Georgia Swarm is set to wrap up their three-game road series against the Buffalo Bandits on December 29th, 2023, at KeyStone Bank.

Before the holiday break, the Swarm secured a notable victory on the road against the Colorado Mammoth with a score of 15-6. This marked the second meeting between the Swarm and Mammoth this season. The Swarm maintained their lead in the second half, with Shayne Jackson showcasing a seven-point performance (1 goal, 6 assists). Lyle Thompson (2 goals, 4 assists) and Seth Oakes (4 goals, 1 assist) also contributed significantly, earning their places in the five-plus-point club. Defensively, Brett Dobson made 42 saves at the net, and TJ Comizio scooped up 8 balls.

Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bandits continue to hold the top spot in the NLL rankings with a 1-1 record this year. Before their bye week, the Bandits faced the San Diego Seals on December 16, 2023, in Buffalo and secured a 12-9 victory, staging a comeback with three goals in the third quarter. Josh Byrne and Dhane Smith led Buffalo with seven points each, with Byrne scoring four goals and Smith recording seven assists. Other contributors to the multi-point night included Tehoka Nanticoke (1 goal, 1 assist), Chris Cloutier (1 goal, 1 assist), Ian MacKay (1 goal, 1 assist), Nick Weiss (3 assists), and Kyle Buchanan (2 goals).

Lyle Thompson leads the Georgia Swarm in points (18) and goals (8), while Andrew Kew tops the assists chart with 11 assists. Defensively, TJ Comizio leads with 24 loose balls, and Adam Wiedemann has blocked 5 shots this season.

The Swarm, having won 6 of the 12 away games at the Bandits' home arena, aim for another road victory. Following the matchup against the Bandits, Georgia will return home for a two-game stand, facing Panther City on January 6 and the Albany Firewolves on January 13.
