Georgia Force News Release
FLOWERY BRANCH, GA- The Georgia Force took the field at 8:30 a.m. today to take part in a combined workout with the Orlando Predators.
The two teams conducted a combined workout today in Flowery Branch that lasted approximately two hours. The Force defense performed admirably during the practice. DB David Crocker and DB Damian Daniels each collected interceptions and the defensive front of DE Jermaine Smith, DT Ernest Allen and DE R-Kal Truluck were able to apply pressure to the quarterback. LB Eric Johnson continued his transition from Jack linebacker in 2007 to Mack linebacker this season. He was in position to tackle the ball carrier on several occasions on screen passes and effectively rushed the passer when provided the opportunity. Offensively, WRs Carl Morris, Brent Holmes, Willis Marshall and Chris Baker all performed consistently in practice. Following a slow start, rookie QBs Ben Dougherty and Tom Arth seemed to become more comfortable as the practice wore on.
"Orlando has been a measuring stick in this league for years and these workouts will tell us a lot about our team," said Head Coach Doug Plank. "We did some things well today, but there are still a number of things we need to improve upon. The Predators are a very physical team and I am looking forward to competing against them again tomorrow morning."
