FLINT MI - It was a great weekend for the Flint Generals as they posted two wins and snapped out of a four-game winless streak. The Generals are alone in second place in the International Hockey League standings with a mark of 10-4-0-4 for 24 points, trailing the Fort Wayne Komets by one point for first place.
GEN'S GEMS: The Flint Generals won just their second one-goal game of the season (2-2-0-4) and their second straight when a game has been tied after 40 minutes of play (2-1-0-1).
The Generals have outscored their opponents 48-27 (plus 21) after two periods this season but have since lowered the differential of goals for and against in the third period to minus 2, being outscored 20-18.
The Flint Generals remain unbeaten in regulation on the road this season, following that win over the Icehawks on Saturday night. The Gens are 4-0-0-2 away from home and will try to keep the string going with a visit to Bloomington this weekend.

The Flint Generals have won four games in a row versus Bloomington this season, including 7-4 in their most recent match-up last Friday night. Fans can tune into the action on Unforgettable 1470 WFNT, beginning with The Generals Pre-Game Report Protected by Teachout Security at 7:40 pm. Denis J. Puska brings you the exciting action at 8 pm. SATURDAY, DEC. 15 - 7:30 PM - KALAMAZOO WINGS @ FLINT GENERALS, PERANI ARENA AND EVENT CENTER:
The Generals have won two of the three meetings this season including the first two. The Wings were 3-2 shootout winners on November 30 at Perani Arena.
PROMOTIONS: It's Toys for Tots Night and fans are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy to the game and help support less fortunate children at Christmas. It's also UAW Saturday and members get discounted tickets at the door.

GENERALS REWIND:
GENERALS 7 - BLOOMINGTON PRAIRIE THUNDER 4:
The Flint Generals snapped a 3-3 third period tie with four straight goals and went on to a 7-4 triumph over the Prairie Thunder. The victory snapped a four-game winless streak for the Generals. Jared Dumba netted a natural hattrick for Flint, while Josef Fojtik had two goals, and Brett Westgarth added a single. It was Westgarth's first professional goal. Michael Beausoleil had four assists in the contest. Eric Marvin posted the win in goal.
GENERALS 2 - PORT HURON ICEHAWKS 1:
Jason Cirone scored the game winning goal late in the third period to lift the Flint Generals past the Port Huron Icehawks 2-1 on Saturday night. After a scoreless first period, the Generals opened the scoring when Jared Dumba tallied his fourth goal of the weekend. Jordan Fox and Goaltender Eric Marvin earned assists on the marker. Cirone's goal, in the final five minutes of the third period, was set up by Greg Bullock and John DiPace.
