Generals team up with Bentley Florist for Good Neighbor Day.doc

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals of the new International Hockey League is pleased to join Bentley Florist in hosting the annual FTD Good Neighbor Day.

Residents of Genesee County will have a unique opportunity on Wednesday, Sept. 5 to meet each other and develop new friendships during Good Neighbor Day. This special event will be hosted by Bentley Florist located at 1270 South Belsay Road in Burton and will start at 9 am. Bentley Florist will give away 5,000 roses in dozen bundles absolutely free while supplies last, to anyone who visits.

Steve Welch, owner of Bentley Florist does have one catch for the free dozen roses -- and that is anyone who picks up the roses will be asked to sign a promise to keep one rose for themselves and give the other 11 away to different people.

"We hope that the people of Genesee County will be able to get acquainted with new people or renew an old friendship during the FTD

Good Neighbor Day," Welch said. "We hope to create a friendlier more caring and compassionate world starting right here in our community."

Generals Staff Members and General Rally will be on hand for this event.

FTD Good Neighbor Day is being celebrated for the 13th year throughout the United States and Canada as thousands of participating FTD floral shops unite for a day of celebrating good will towards people. Bentley Florist is celebrating their 54th anniversary (1953-2007) being a good neighbor.
