
Generals rally to 5-4 win over PrairieThunder

FLINT, Mich. - Greg Bullock's power play goal with 5.4 seconds remaining completed a Flint rally that saw the Generals earn a 5-4 International Hockey League victory Thursday over the Bloomington PrairieThunder at Perani Arena.
Jeff Zehr and Frank Littlejohn had the assists as the Generals moved their record to 17-32-2-4 (40 points). The loss dropped Bloomington's record to 23-26-1-3 (50 points) ahead of a two-game series at Port Huron beginning Friday at 6:30 p.m.
The PrairieThunder scored first on Travis Granbois' goal of an assist by Shaun Fisher at the 15:03 mark of the first period. Granbois did not play the final two periods after injuring his knee.
Joel Gasper tied the game for Flint with 7:10 left in the first period on an unassisted goal before the PrairieThunder took a 3-1 advantage on goals by John Neal and Corey Rutt. Neal's goal came at the 18:45 mark of the second period on assists by Jan Jas and Jon Booras.
Rutt's unassisted goal came 2:30 later for a 3-1 advantage before Flint's Rob Voltera scored with 23 seconds left in the second period. The assists went to Maxime Lincourt and Joe Pace.
Littlejohn's goal with 11:51 left started the Generals' third period scoring. Jeff Zehr and Bullock had the assists. Flint tied the game at 4-4 on Zach Pearson's short-handed goal with 5:39 remaining on an assist by Gasper, setting the stage for Bullock's game-winner.
Chad Alban earned the win for Flint by stopping 46 of 50 shots, while losing goalie Ryan Ludzik swatted aside 22 of 27 shots. Bloomington was unsuccessful on four power play chances, while Flint was 1 for 3.
