Generals prepare for back to back games against Muskegon

FLINT, MI - The Flint Generals will try to un clog the traffic jam in the IHL Standing when they return to action tomorrow (Thursday) night against the Muskegon Lumberjacks at 7 pm. The Generals are currently tied with the Bloomington Prairiethunder and the Kalamazoo Wings for third place in the standings while the Lumberjacks are tied at the top with the Fort Wayne Komets and Port Huron Icehawks.

The Generals made some roster moves this week waiving forward Ben Boudreau and defenseman Matt Chromy. Mike Alexiou is still recovering from a nasty hit he took in the last meeting between the Generals and the Lumberjacks. Nick Bet, is still on injured reserve.

Muskegon beat the Generals 5-3 in Flint after rallying from a 3-1 third period deficit. The Lumberjacks used a strong second period to beat Flint 5-2 in their lone meeting up north.

There will be a showdown between the top point getters in the IHL as Todd Robinson goes head to head with John DiPace and Greg Bullock of the Generals. Isaac Reichmuth has appeared in all 10 games for Muskegon in net. Chad Alban and Matt Spezza had played in the two games for Flint.

The broadcast of Thursday's game can be heard live on Unforgettable 1470 WFNT beginning with Generals Countdown to Face-off at 6:40 pm. Denis J. Puska has the play by play action at 7 pm.
