Greensboro Generals News Release
The Greensboro Generals and Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies meet for game 4 of this best-of-five Northeast Division Finals series tonight. Atlantic City took a two games to one series lead by virtue of their 6-3 victory in Greensboro on Wednesday night, and therefore have the chance to clinch the Northeast Division title tonight. Atlantic City had their six goals from six different players, while the Generals had scores from Jay Murphy, Kurt Drummond, and Mike Bayrack. The Generals and Boardwalk Bullies split the first two games of the series in Atlantic City, with each team winning 3-2 in overtime. For the Generals to win the division crown, they will need to win both tonight and tomorrow in Atlantic City. The Generals posted a 2-3-1 record against Atlantic City in the regular season, winning once in each city. The winner of this series will advance to the Northern Conference Finals of the Kelly Cup Playoffs against the Cincinnati Cyclones, who defeated the Toledo Storm 3 games to 1 in the Northwest Division Finals.
