JACKSON, Tenn. (April 22, 2013) - The Jackson Generals (7-11) fell Monday night to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (8-9) 3-0. The Generals were shutout for only the second time during the 2013 season.

Pensacola scored first as Danny Vicioso led off the third with a double. Ray Chang brought Vicioso in with a ground-rule double. Ryan LaMarre moved Vicioso to third on a fielder's choice to first. One batter later, Brodie Greene doubled to left scoring Chang. The Blue Wahoos tallied three runs in the top of the third to take a 3-0 advantage.

The Generals left fielder Leon Landry (1-3, 1B), catcher John Hicks (1-4, 1B), and third basemen Brad Miller (1-4, 2B) recorded Jackson's three hits, which extended their hitting streaks. Landry extended his streak to five games and Hicks to seven games.

Jackson's Roenis Elias (L,7.0,6,3,3,0,4,0) suffered the loss on the hill despite the quality start. Pensacola's RHP Josh Smith, a former Lipscomb pitcher, stuck out seven and allowed only two hits in seven innings of work for the win.

Tuesday night, the Generals and Blue Wahoos will play game four of the series. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Jackson's RHP Chance Ruffin (1-0, 4.24) will start for the Generals. Pensacola will send RHP Tim Crabbe (1-1, 4.60) to the mound for the start.
