
Gems Extend Training Camp Invites To Open Camp Attendees

The AA-plus International Hockey League's Dayton Gems of Hara Arena are proud to announce that they have extended invitations to training camp to the following participants in the Dayton Gems Open Camp. Derek Nova of Troy, Ben Bullis of Kettering and Aaron LaFavre of Centerville will be receiving invitations and participating in training camp for the 2009 - 2010 Gems season.
"We got a good look at some good guys the past two days," coach John Marks said. "These guys were the best that we saw and we're excited to invite them to camp."
Dayton Gems training camp opens October 5 at Hara Arena. The camp is open to the public and will include two home exhibition games during it's duration. The games will be held October 8 vs Toledo and October 14 vs Evansville. Tickets for both of these games are on sale currently at ticketmaster.com and the Hara box office. Great group rates are also available by calling Jill Sanders in the Gems office at 937-275-7777.
Final cuts to the 2009-2010 roster will be made following the game against Evansville and the Gems will then prepare to open the season against the defending Turner Cup champion Fort Wayne Komets on October 16th.
