Klamath Falls Gems News Release

KLAMATH FALLS, OR - The Klamath Falls Gems today announced the addition of Dan Heeman to the Gems' full-time staff as Assistant General Manager. Heeman, 29, joins the team after three years on the operations staff of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox at the Camelback Ranch spring training facility in Glendale, Arizona.

Prior to being one of the original staff members at Camelback Ranch, Heeman served for one year on the game day staff of the Arizona Diamondbacks, and has worked in stadium operations for numerous minor league baseball teams during the past 20 years. Heeman is the son of Gems General Manager Chuck Heeman and Director of Sales and Ticketing Mayra Heeman.

"Obviously we've known Dan for a very long time, and he understands how much work it takes to run a successful program," Gems General Manager Chuck Heeman said. "He's worked for me in many roles and places since I started in baseball, and he's done a little bit of everything we do here. Working with the Dodgers, White Sox and Diamondbacks has given him even more experience and he'll be a welcome addition as we grow the Gems in 2012 and beyond. Dan came to Klamath Falls before the season and fell in love with the town and Kiger Stadium. We're very lucky to bring him aboard."

Dan Heeman's responsibilities include group ticket sales, building the Gems' "All-You-Can-Eat" corporate picnic program, and overseeing concessions and stadium operations. Prior to the Gems' inaugural 2011 season, Dan Heeman spent two weeks in Klamath Falls helping with stadium setup, construction and game day staff management.

He joins the Gems staff on November 1, 2011 as a full-time staff member.
