Klamath Falls Gems News Release

The food service at the Klamath Falls Gems will be headed by Jerry Crane this year. Mr. Crane has owned three catering and concession companies over the past 12 years. He has fed over a million and a half people in the last 10 years as well as catered for groups as large as 9,000 people at one time.

His companies have managed the food service for amusement parks, high schools, and most recently managed all the concessions and beverage operations for the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, a Class-A affiliate of the World Series Champions San Francisco Giants. When asked his plans for the Gems, Mr. Crane responded "Our goal is to make the food and beverage service at the Gems a memorable part of the game experience."

We are already working on plans to introduce new items at Kiger Stadium this summer that have proven very popular at other Stadiums, while keeping items that are traditional fan favorites. Our desire is to provide outstanding quality and service as well as value to our fans. We look forward to a great season and are proud to be affiliated with Klamath Falls Gems organization. "Jerry Crane brings a vast background of catering and concession experience to the Gems." noted Gems' owner Jerry Walker. "He understands that quality, value and speed of service are most important to fans and has embraced that philosophy at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer."

"We are very excited to have Jerry Crane oversee the Gems concessions this year," said General Manager Grant Wilson. "Crane brings invaluable food service knowledge to the Gems and we expect fans to really look forward to eating dinner each night while watching their Gems on the field," added Wilson.
