Klamath Falls Gems News Release

KLAMATH FALLS, OR - The Klamath Falls Gems have announced the hiring of Jessica Dutton as the team's Game Operations Intern. Dutton, a Klamath Falls native, is a 2010 graduate of Triad High School and currently attends Gonzaga University. She was named ‚¬Å“Miss City of Sunshine's Outstanding Teen ‚¬Â in 2009 and was part of Triad's Varsity Cheer Team from 2007-2010. She currently works with the Gonzaga Student Body Association after serving as Student Body Vice President at Triad.

‚¬Å“This has been a good week for us in terms of finding local talent for our front office, ‚¬Â Gems General Manager Chuck Heeman said. ‚¬Å“Jessica's experience in being in front of crowds and her outgoing personality are great assets in helping us put together a first-rate product for our fans. She also brings a lot of behind-the-scenes experience, which we'll make great use of during the season. Her work in the community, both here and at Gonzaga, fits in with the Gems' mission to become part of the Klamath Basin. We're honored that she chose us to work with this summer. ‚¬Â

Dutton's responsibilities include working in many operations for Gems games, with duties in game day staff supervision, merchandise operations, and giveaway/prize item maintenance. She will also help with sales and on-field game promotions as well as in other areas as needed. Jessica joins the team in mid-May.

Gonzaga is also home to Gems players Tom D'Aboy and Garrett DeGaullier.
