
Geekie Lifts ICE to Tight Win at Vancouver

Conor Geekie scored his team leading sixth goal of the season at 11:36 of the third period to give the Winnipeg ICE a 4-3 victory over the Vancouver Giants.
Skyler Bruce, Owen Pederson and Matthew Savoie also found the back of the net as Winnipeg improved its record to 9-1.
Pederson's fifth goal of the season extended his point scoring streak to 10 games (5-9-14). Savoie now has points in six straight games (4-6-10) since returning from Buffalo.
Mazden Leslie, Zack Ostapchuk and Carson Haynes replied for Vancouver (1-4-1-2).
Connor McClennon led the way with 10 shots on goal as the ICE outshot the Giants 48-20. Daniel Hauser earned his seventh win of the season in goal while Jesper Vikman suffered the loss.
Winnipeg went 1/3 on the power play, Vancouver was 0/1.
Next action for the ICE is Friday in Kamloops. The Fort Garry Brewing Company pregame show starts at 8:30 on CFRW 1290.
