Texas Copperheads News Release

HOUSTON, TX - The Texas Copperheads led by Kicker Nick Gatto, who has been solid in the second half of the season, provided all of the scoring for Texas as he hit on field goals of 32, 30, 34 and 43 in the Copperheads 52-12 loss to the Tulsa Talons recently. Gatto is responsible for the Copperheads' 15 points in a three-game span.

Gatto, a Arkansas State product, has made league high 18 field goals. He also ranks number six in percentage made but this maybe a deceiving number due to the inability of the offense to move the ball efficiently in 2007. Several kicks have been over 50 yards and he has been credited to making one of those also for the Copperheads.

Gatto, a fan favorite for Texas, is 18 for 49 on field goals and 41 of 49 on point kicks after touchdowns. His best stat is that Gatto is 17 for 24 under 50 yards which should garner some post season considerations.

Head Coach Bryan Blake added, "Nick has brought leadership and guidance to a team which can learn from his professionalism and experience in the AFL."
