Mickey Gasper went 1-3, sparking the Nashua Silver Knights (14-6) to a 2-1 victory over the Pittsfield Suns (10-10) on Saturday at Holman Stadium.
He doubled in the fifth inning.
The Pittsfield Suns had no answer for Sean Mooney, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Mooney held the Pittsfield Suns hitless over five innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four.
Al Zachary had a hot bat for the Pittsfield Suns. Zachary went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the seventh inning and doubled in the eighth inning.
Brandon Shileikis ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 5 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed two runs.
