December 21, 2002 - Continental Basketball Association 2 (CBA 2)
Grand Rapids Hoops News Release

The Grand Rapids HOOPS had defeated the Gary Steelheads in their first four meetings of the season, but the magic had to stop somewhere. The HOOPS fell to the Steelheads by the score of 128-106 at the DeltaPlex Arena. Gary had seven players score in double figures as they were able to win 6.5 of seven quarter points on the night.

The loss snapped Grand Rapids' four-game home winning, and extended Gary's season long winning streak to four games. Alex Scales led Grand Rapids (8-8) with 25 points, while Jerald Honeycutt continued his strong play versus the conference rival Steelheads, registering 20 points and 13 rebounds.

Gary (8-8) was led to victory by Bryant Notree's 26 points, as Silas Mills (23), Galen Young (20), and Oliver Miller (20) all assisted in the 22-point victory.
