Keystone Ice Miners News Release

CONNELLSVILLE, PA - With 12:42 remaining in the 3rd period on Saturday night, a pane of glass shattered near the zamboni entrance at the Ice Mine, causing a lengthy delay and eventually a postponement in the game between the Ice Miners and Soo Eagles. The game will be completed prior to the game between the two teams at Pullar Stadium in Sault Ste Marie on March 13th. Soo leads the game, 2-1.

Brad Pung and Matt Menta scored first period goals for Soo, who had a 34-21 shot advantage through two periods. Keystone's lone goal came off the stick of Matt Jones at the 2:02 mark of the 2nd period. Alex Blankenburg and Jack Berry were in net.

Keep an eye on KeystoneIceMinersHockey.com as well as social media for updates on the exact time of the game's conclusion. It has not yet been announced if the remainder game will be available on FASTHockey.com.

Keystone plays three times next week - a Thursday morning game at Johnstown beginning at 10:30 AM, followed by a pair of home games against first place Janesville on Friday and Saturday night at 7:30. Only six home games remain in the regular season. The Ice Miners are offering a "final four pack," where fans can get two tickets to each of the last four games (March 18th, 20th, 21st, and 27th) and just $40. Tickets to all home games are available online at keystoneiceminershockey.com or by calling 724-628-4847.
