Isotopes Lose Lead, Fall to the 51s 5-4

The Isotopes could not maintain their winning streak, falling tonight to the Las Vegas 51s, 5-4, at Cashman Field. The Isotopes had previously won their last nine matchups against the 51s.

The only scoring of the game for Albuquerque came in the sixth inning, a frame that saw the Isotopes plate four runs. The highlight of the inning came on Jordan Patterson's two-run home run. Patterson has now hit safely in seven of his last nine games.

Isotopes starter Matt Flemer recorded his second quality start of the season, allowing three runs over six innings on the mound. The right-hander struck out three and did not issue a walk. He received a no-decision.

Isotopes reliever Johendi Jiminian took the loss, allowing two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning. The loss marked the first time the Isotopes could not hold a lead when leading after seven innings.

Albuquerque and Las Vegas are back in action tomorrow afternoon from Cashman Field when Zach Jemiola (2-1, 6.87) will toe the rubber for Glenallen Hill's squad. He will be opposed by 51s righty Tyler Pill (0-0, 0.00). First pitch from Las Vegas is set for 1:05 p.m.
