IFL Indoor Football League

Game of the Week Preview

May 29, 2021 - Indoor Football League (IFL) News Release

The Iowa Barnstormers (1-1) are back at home again at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa to face the Bismarck Bucks (3-1) on Saturday, March 29, 2021. Kickoff is set for 7:05 pm CST. This is the first match-up between the Barnstormers and Bucks for the 2021 season.

The Barnstormers head into the game after a hard-fought loss in overtime against the Duke City Gladiators, 55-63, last weekend. The Iowa offense was heavily led by IFL 2019 MVP and IFL Player of Week Four, quarterback Daquan Neal.

Quarterback Daquan Neal ended the night by scoring four out of eight touchdowns for the Barnstormers. On the other side of the team, Barnstormers defensive lineman, Kenton Bartlett, kept Iowa alive by blocking a field goal attempt by the Gladiators with :02 seconds left in the game to send the game into overtime.

The Barnstormers were ultimately not able to respond in time and ended up coming away with the loss.

The Bismarck Bucks earned their third win of the season over Northern Arizona Wranglers (0-2) last week. The Bucks came out to a fast start by scoring 34 of their 61 points in the first half of the game.

Bismarck did not let off the gas and continued their scoring run to ultimately put them over the Wranglers, 61-39.

This will be the first of three matchups between these teams this season. The game features two of the strongest offenses in the IFL. Both teams are top five in the league for scoring and rushing yards.

The Barnstormers are on the road next week to face the Tucson Sugar Skulls (0-1), Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the Tucson Convention Center. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:05 pm CST. Fans will have the opportunity to stream the game live on YouTube.

Season Tickets are still on sale for the 2021 Iowa Barnstormers season. Fans can select the same great seat for every remaining home game. Do not miss a minute of the action! Call 515-633-2255 for more information.
