
Game Against Barracuda FC of Antigua Cancelled

MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact announced on Friday that the friendly match against Barracuda FC of Antigua, scheduled for Saturday, September 4 at Saputo Stadium, has been cancelled.
"We are very disappointed that we will be unable to play this game," said Montreal Impact president Joey Saputo. "Barracuda FC unfortunately just advised us that the team will not be travelling to Montreal for financial reasons. We would like to apologize to our fans for this unfortunate situation. We consider this a very unprofessional decision on their part, which has negative consequences towards our public."
All ticket holders for this game will be fully compensated based on the value of the ticket's category.

Barracuda FC also cancelled its friendly match against the Charleston Battery, that was scheduled for September 12, in Antigua.
The Impact will play its next match this Saturday in Baltimore (5pm, palacebaltimore.com) and will return to Saputo Stadium on Friday, August 27, for its next home game against the Rochester Rhinos (7:30pm, Radio-Canada, radio-canada.ca/sports/ CKAC Sports, THE TEAM 990).
