LA Galaxy News Release
CARSON, Calif. (Monday, August 10, 2009) -The LA Galaxy return to The Home Depot Center to face the league's newest club the Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday, August 15, at 8 p.m. The match, built by The Home Depot, will be the Galaxy's first MLS game at The Home Depot Center since its 1-0 win over New England Revolution six weeks ago. Following its 2-1 win at New England over the weekend, coupled with Seattle's 1-0 loss at Real Salt Lake, LA heads into the match in second-place of the Western Conference standings with 31 points, one ahead of Colorado (30) and two ahead of Seattle (29). This is the second and final meeting of the year between the two sides, with the Galaxy getting a 1-1 draw on May 10 thanks to a goal from Alan Gordon in the 35th minute. The Galaxy are unbeaten in their last six league games and will look to make it seven straight on Saturday.
This game will be broadcast live regionally on Prime Ticket, starting with âGalaxy Live' pregame show at 7:30 p.m. Fans can also listen to all the action live on the radio in English on AM 1150 and in Spanish on KWKW 1330 AM ESPN Deportes Radio.
The first 10,000 fans to walk into the stadium will receive a Galaxy Tote Bag provided by 93.1 Jack FM. Additionally, 5,000 fans will receive a mystery gift card, courtesy of The Home Depot.
